In 2020, after 3 years of practice as an astrologer, I noticed something that was irritating (at best) and made me feel like I was creating more problems than I was fixing (at worst.)
My clients kept booking back in… not because they had new questions but because nothing stuck from the previous session. They’d pay me another $250 bucks just to have me repeat their sun, moon, and rising. They were fine with it. I was not. My clients needed something they could return to on their own terms. Something skimmable but rich enough to hold the depth of a real reading with me.
So in true Gisele style, I built it.
In January 2020 I realized I had to choose between my astrology business and my practice as a therapist. I took the risk and closed my practice in March. Three days later, the entire country went into isolation. Incredible timing. Ten out of ten. No notes LOL
My sister Chantal was deployed as a military medic helping with the outbreak, so I moved into her home in Alberta to take care of her children (heavy chevy and dirty darryl, her dog and cat). I spent my days taking chevy for walks, reading ancient astrology texts, and watching Sailor Moon. I had so much space, rest, and beauty in my life and nothing but time on my hands.
I started taking orders for Sol Guides one by one. Each placement in each guide was written from scratch. If you purchased one of the OG guides you might remember that this process took MONTHS. I know for sure I wouldn’t have had the time to do this during any other period of my life.
Every time an order came in I would jump for joy and then get hit with the reality of “holy shit, I’ve got 80 pages to write.” I took my time and did it slowly, because I wanted every piece to feel intentional, beautiful, and not rushed.
My process was basically this: go for a walk near the lake, grab a double double (a coffee for ye non-Canadians) on the way home, and sit and write for hours until my back was cramped and I was cross eyed. Every morningI’d go for the coldest swim of my life (the lake ain’t called Cold Lake for no reason) and proofread yesterday’s pages.
It took almost a year to build the full catalog, placement by placement, during one of the most beautiful and spacious moments of my life.
Every Sol Guide you receive is assembled from those transmissions. Nothing is AI generated or overseen by a robot. Just real, human words, from my juicy delicious brain to yours.
